Where it Started!
Hi I'm Tameka, the person behind Beauty by Tlynn. I am a self taught makeup artist that have been doing this for 10 years. I am originally from Gary, IN close to the Chicago area. I have had the opportunity to move to Charlotte, NC in 2017 and now live in Lancaster, SC which is in the middle of Charlotte and Columbia, SC.
Why Makeup?
I had a friend that worked at MAC and another friend that loved makeup. When we would go out they would make my face up and I felt like a star. They finally showed me how to do my own makeup and my confidence grew. I said to myself, "Everyone should feel like this." So I did You Tube university and with lots of practice I have perfected my craft.
Line of Work
While in Chicago I got to freelance for the company Too Faced Cosmetics. I also worked for a mobile makeup service called BeGlammed (Priv Pro) now. When I moved to Charlotte I had the privilege to work backstage at the Oprah 2020 tour a very proud moment. I also did backstage work for a Wells Fargo ted talk making up people and doing touch ups. The last 3 years I have had the privilege to do bridal makeup with a wonderful company called Wink Inspired Beauty. Now it's time to branch out on my own. I specialize in flawless looking skin and brows to die for. I love to teach so please schedule a makeup class with me.
